Where The Iris Withered - G.M. Draevyn

This book was emotional, full of suspense, and completely captivating. The book unapologetically dives into topics many wouldn’t consider touching and did so in a way that was graceful, emotional, and intentional.

The author pulls you in quickly and deeply right from the first page. I didn’t know what was coming, but I couldn’t stop turning pages to find out what was next.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. I found myself completely absorbed by the story, feeling the trauma Iris felt, feeling the emotions, crying with her, laughing with her. The personal challenges she faced, the devastation, the grief, the lust, all of it kept me feeling with her.

For a debut novel, I’m hooked. If you enjoy books that are dark, twisty, romantic, lust filled, obsessed, and emotional, you need to read this.

The book covers sensitive topics such as suicide attempts, obsession, stalking, and murder. You should remain mindful of your mental health.

Stolen Family (Detective Josie Quinn #24) - Lisa Regan

Coming April 9th, 2026 - ARC provided by NetGalley & Bookouture in exchange for honest review.

This one hit differently. From the very first chapter, there’s this quiet tension that slowly tightens until you realize you’ve been holding your breath. The mystery is layered, emotional, and full of those small, devastating reveals that make you stop and reread a line just to absorb it.

What really pulled me in was how personal this story feels. I found myself completely wrapped up, desperate to understand what really happened.

The twists land exactly when they need to, and while I thought I had a few things figured out, Regan still managed to surprise me. The final reveal is one of those moments that makes you sit back and think about every breadcrumb she dropped along the way.

Fast‑paced, emotional, and deeply satisfying, The Stolen Family is the kind of thriller you finish in a day because you simply can’t walk away from it.

The Perfect Son - Freida McFadden

To say I was hooked from the start would be an understatement. Freida McFadden delivers another fast paced, bingeworthy thriller complete with tension, secrets, and perfectly placed red herrings.

I loved how the story kept me guessing, loathing some characters, and emotionally attached to others - wanting to yell to save them. The twists at the end were so satisfying without ever feeling over the top.

A sharp, addictive read that's easy to fly through and hard to stop thinking about after.

Death Row - Freida McFadden

This book completely consumed me - I read the entire thing on one plane ride and cried my way through the ending.

It’s gripping, emotional, and impossible to put down. I was so sure I had it all figured out, but in true Freida fashion, she made sure the twists at the end were something you could never see coming.

The moment I got service back; I immediately sent it to friends because it’s the kind of story you need someone else to experience too! I needed someone to talk about these twists and turns with!
