Review: Try to Keep Up
Try to Keep Up by Shay KnudsenMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Try To Keep Up is a messy, magnetic, sharp psychological thriller that quite literally is DEMANDING a spot on your TBR. If you love questioning every character, doubting yourself, and your instincts, and eventually whispering 'what the hell just happened', this one delivers.
The writing style is vivid; shifting POVs, diary entries, fractured memories, and emotional chaos that throws your balance off in the very best way. Each character's unreliability pulls you deeper, making it impossible to look away and the pacing of the story is everything you'd want.
This is the kind of story that tempts you to peek ahead, yet you won't dare because that creeping unsettling energy is too intriguing to interrupt. The tension is constant, the atmosphere is eerie, and the payoff is worth every chaotic turn.
You'd never guess this is Shay Knudsen's debut. This is fantastic, unforgettable, bold, and worth checking out. Thank you to Shay for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team and be an early reader.
